Requirements
At VIMY HR, we believe scaling businesses deserve a true HR department without the overhead. That’s why we pair our clients with dedicated pods: a Senior Consultant and an Advisor working together to bring strategy and execution to life. Our values—Commitment, Resourcefulness, Freedom, Integrity, and Generosity—guide everything we do, both for our clients and for each other.
The HR Advisor role is central to this model. You’ll be the one rolling up your sleeves and getting things done, while contributing ideas and insights that help shape practical solutions. You’ll partner closely with a Senior Consultant who sets the strategy, and together you’ll deliver the kind of HR support that makes small to mid-sized businesses feel like they’ve got a full department behind them.
What You’ll Do
Work hand-in-hand with your Senior Consultant to design and deliver HR programs tailored to each client’s stage of growth
Take ownership of execution—drafting policies, coordinating recruitment steps, organizing files, preparing communications, and tracking compliance
Engage directly with clients: listen, ask smart questions, present solutions, and keep projects moving with clarity and care
Design and deliver workshops and presentations (e.g., action plans, policy rollouts, training sessions)
Implement and optimize HR systems, tools, and technologies to improve operational efficiency
Conduct training needs analysis, onboarding design, and engagement initiatives
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement—streamlining HR processes both internally at VIMY and externally for clients
Share recommendations when you see a better way of doing things, while knowing when to tap your Senior Consultant for guidance
Keep your Senior (and sometimes the client) organized and on track—yes, it matters more than you think
What Makes You a Fit
Obtained a post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Obtained a CPHR designation or are actively working toward it
Have 5+ years of HR experience and a desire to grow into a Senior role over time
Have strong systems orientation with the ability to implement and optimize HRIS platforms and digital HR tools
Have experience presenting and facilitating sessions for a variety of audiences
Have an analytical mindset with experience in HR metrics and reporting
Have strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to keep multiple priorities organized
You bring a results focus: finishing and delivering well matters to you
You enjoy variety—moving from drafting a policy in the morning to supporting a tricky recruitment or onboarding issue in the afternoon
You’re curious, resourceful, and not afraid to ask “why”
You know your limits and are comfortable escalating issues beyond your scope; that judgment is part of what makes you reliable
