Requirements
At VIMY HR, we believe scaling businesses deserve a true HR department without the overhead. That’s why we pair our clients with dedicated pods: a Senior Consultant and an Advisor working together to bring strategy and execution to life. Our values—Commitment, Resourcefulness, Freedom, Integrity, and Generosity—guide everything we do, both for our clients and for each other.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in this model. You’ll lead recruitment delivery across industries, supporting clients by finding, engaging, and securing the right people for their growth. You’ll partner closely with a Senior Consultant who sets the overall strategy, while you own the execution that makes it real.
What You’ll Do
Run full-cycle recruitment for staff and trades roles: posting jobs, sourcing, pre-screening, interviews, references, and offers.
Build and maintain proactive pipelines, engaging both active and passive candidates across Canada.
Partner with clients and the VIMY team to define role requirements and selection criteria.
Source talent through multiple channels—social media, professional networks, referrals, and databases.
Deliver a candidate experience that reflects both VIMY’s and the client’s values.
Schedule and coordinate interviews and provide structured feedback to candidates and clients.
Support onboarding by ensuring a smooth transition from acceptance to first day.
Design and deliver workshops and presentations (e.g., recruitment action plans, interview training, employer branding).
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement—streamlining recruitment processes for both VIMY and our clients.
Track recruitment metrics and report monthly KPIs.
What Makes You a Fit
Obtained a post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (asset)
Obtained a CPHR designation or are working toward it (asset)
2–3 years of hands-on recruitment experience, preferably in agency or high-volume settings.
Experience with ATS/HRIS systems and recruitment analytics to track recruitment metrics and report monthly KPIs.
Experience with construction and trades recruitment is a strong asset.
Experience presenting and facilitating sessions for a variety of audiences.
You’re organized, proactive, and relationship-oriented with strong communication skills.
You bring a results focus: finishing and delivering well matters to you.
You enjoy variety—moving from sourcing tradespeople to advising on a professional role in the same week.
You’re curious, resourceful, and not afraid to ask “why.”
You know your limits and are comfortable escalating issues beyond your scope; that judgment is part of what makes you reliable.
