We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep high-end woodworking equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll be the go-to expert for inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production performance.
What You’ll Do:
As the Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a hands-on, frontline role in keeping production running smoothly. Your work will directly support productivity, safety, and equipment reliability.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment including mitre machines (Vertongen), beam saws, CNCs, laminate presses, and edgebanders
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
Act as the first point of contact for equipment-related concerns
Coordinate and oversee external service techs for vendor-specific repairs (e.g., HOMAG, IMA, OMAL)
Support installation and relocation of machinery as needed
Maintain detailed maintenance records and service logs
Recommend improvements to reduce wear and optimize spare parts inventory
Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures
Collaborate with staff and management to minimize disruptions
Perform other duties as assigned to support production
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
8+ years in a maintenance or mechanical role in a production/manufacturing environment
Experience with woodworking or automated equipment
Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
Ability to prioritize and work independently
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
Preferred:
Familiarity with HOMAG, IMA, OMAL, or CNC Automation equipment
Experience developing preventive maintenance programs
Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
